This update covers our soybean planting progress this year. We were able to find a planting window on May 18th and planted into headed out rye. I cover some of the few trials we're doing and our decision to spray fungicide wheat. I also try to give newsletter mailing list an idea of some challenges a late plant year comes with. ![]()

In this newsletter, we answer a question from someone on our newsletter email list. We were asked why we don't see more farms locally with practices like ours. We adapted this newsletter to cover why change is hard in agriculture in a more general sense, but certainly applicable to sustainable farming. Beans have finally been delivered, so here is our final update of the 2018 season. In this update, I briefly go over our 2 soybean programs and how they ended up. I also included a couple cover crop trial results from this year and last year. ![]()
This is an important update that explains some things I think will seriously reshape agriculture in the near future and how we are preparing. It explains why exactly we are making the choices we are, at this point in time. We have a long term plan to farm, likewise we need a long term preparation for possible changes to the agriculture industry. ![]()
